Thanks for coming on to the web site and I hope I can be able to satisfy your needs in some way. The soccer schools have now been going for more than fifteen years and it started as a 'revolution' (as I aptly named it) but I now find it more like an 'evolution'. After all this time, lo and behold, it is still down to 'good coaching' and 'dedication to practice' - nothing new??

Yes, it's a case of 'STRIVE FOR PERFECTION, SOMETIMES SETTLE FOR EXCELLENCE'.

Firstly I don't do my own website - this is strictly down to a smart guy called Andrew Stead. I just feed him information on a 'not too regular'basis, so a big thanks to 'the mastermind' Andrew and many apologies from me for not 'delivering the goods'.

A Royal Garden Party!!
Surprise surprise. Yes I was invited to a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in view of my outstanding services to football. My wife and I had a super four days in London and we shall always remember that wonderful afternoon meeting the Queen. Would just like to say thanks to everyone who's made this possible, probably for my years as a player, coach and manager, as well as my twenty years coaching. But special thanks to the late Alan Brown, the late Les Shannon and to all the hundreds of kids who have been through the soccer school. Special thanks!!!

To think I went coaching to schools in Lancashire on my Lambretta 150. That was away back in the late fifties!!! And with a blue and white skidlid!!!? Those were the days!!!

Coaching
Just to say that another year has gone by, the 19th year, and we are just about to start, probably, the last one. We are now down to one session per week which is on Saturdays at the Mayflower Centre (next to Home Park)at ten o'clock. Good news is that both my assistants Ollie and Danny will still be in attendance. Delighted to say that both have attained their second tier of coaching with Ollie helping out at Plymouth Argyle.

So if you happen to read this, pass on the news to one and all but ages, only, from four years to eight years. Yes we are down at the 'grass roots' level but we love it!!! We even have our Ollie turning up with his briefcase and 'tactics board' so we had better watch out for new routines!!!

The World Cup 2010
Continually being asked what I thought about these disgraceful performances by England!!! I've always been a forward looking person and do not dwell in the past, so all I said was that I'm looking forward to 2014!!! But I do like the look of Hart, Wilshere and Johnson - get them in and keep them in!!!
